My steering wheel is looking a tad scruffy & some while back I ordered the necessary leather from ***.
I'm presuming, judging by the time scale involved, that somebody has set off 'on foot' from blackpool & are currently scouring Texas for the aforementioned magnolia coloured animal.
Does anybody have any spare for sale, TVR code T412.
It's the smooth one for the outer wheel.
Thanks in anticipation
Mr Impatient.

Russell

How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking.
I was thinking about the same for mine as the grey is almost brown now. I hope grey cows are easier to find.
Do you have a local guy to fit it?

Mail me offline if you prefer.

Hi andy, £45.19 For a metre. I'm presuming thats a square metre.
There's a company in the west mids fitting it for me, i've seen thier work on other vehicles & they've come highly recomended. It should cost about £20 to stitch it, thier work looks good but I'm sure the guy who matches the leather is colour blind, hence me getting it.
My local Indie is going to take the wheel off for me & hopefully supply me with a large set of mole grips .

Thanks for the info Russell

I recently bought some blue leather to replace the sack cloth thats on the doors and parcel shelf.
I wanted 1m by 3m but due to leaving my brain at home that day managed to say 3 square metres. It's a fair bit bigger than I needed but still only cost 100 quid.
Just looking for a local trimmer in Leeds that will do it for a reasonable price. If anybody knows any then it would be appreciated.

Hi Andy, If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your leather from, as I want to do exactly the same, the sack cloth spoils an otherwise fantastic interior. Not sure whether to go for leather or alcantara, presuming the cost is similar. Also gonna do sub into cubby hole at the same time.

Cheers, Al.

Al

Got it from a barn in Keighley, here . It's not quite a perfect match for my carpets, it's a bit darker, but I doubt it would be very noticable anyway.

The leather has arrived, makes you wonder who's watching

It's being fitted late next week, if your at Berkswell on Sunday, you can have a before & after look.

Happy driving...

Picked up my new leather last night & I take everything back about the trimmer being colour blind, this looks worse than any of the 10 or so colours he showed me.
Guess 7 years of sunlight has took its toll somewhat.
Never mind, it will still look better than the black / cream version that's currently on it.

Update on this, £34 to have wheel removed & replaced, £53 for leather & £95 for stitching, he also supplied & fitted the perforated stuff in the middle of the wheel £182 all together. Be interested to know how much other people have paid, how much is a new wheel pre done ?
Must admit, that when you look in the first thing you notice is the tatty wheel, £182 = 1 happy bunny.
To make things better, its outside the unit now with a couple of blokes looking in to it, hope they don't possess crowbars !
