Yes, it's normal.

The engine needs warming up; oil temp needs to be above 80 before it really loosens up (and the rev lights extinguished).

I'm so glad you asked that question. My M3 also does this in the morning on the way to work. Once the rev lights start to go out it's ok. Panic over. I will continue to enjoy smile

Does the Z4MC have this same throttle mapping, that supposedly causes this ? You don't hear of this.

I think it only happens with SMG equipped M3s.

The E92's engine is the same. When it's cold, it is bh to drive smoothly.

All is forgiven when it warms up though cloud9

No, it can happen on manuals too, but dipping the clutch deals with it.

Never had it on either of my SMGs. The cold idle is smooth, but you can sense a 'lumpiness' in there. Nothing untoward considering the state of tune though.

My smg was ok at first then the -in bounce started( the kangerooing was so bad I thought the car was in a hop, skip & jump compatition), it does go after 3-400 yds( as long as I don't stop ) before all the lights go out, talking of lights no matter how far I travel I always have the 2 red lights and one yellow light on is this normal ?
