Playing the expectant father today. A very nice man is inspecting my (hopefully) VRX8 I have provisionally bought at the other end of the country that I haven't even seen yet. Will be a big factor on my journey to Southampton.

Just one question though. Can you only take the car back to the NetworkQ dealer you bought from for anything under warranty, or can you use your local dealer? It does still have Vauxhall warranty until jan 11, but I have heard the Network Q covers just that little bit extra.

Bradford, so about 240ish miles. I haven't decided how to get the car back yet if I buy it. They paying my expenses to go see it though. Volvo T5-240 miles-both ways...ouch

Anybody know this car, it's just that it slightly sounds too cheap compared to others out there.

Hi,

I don't know a lot about used prices but I reckon for the mileage the car is probably priced about right and I would expect something off the price for no trade-in or a reasonable price for my trade-in if I had one.

Where the garage is making a bit of money is the interest rate as I reckon you should be able to get between 4 and 4.5% flat on HP which would save you between £900 and £1200 on the deal.

Bear in mind as well this is the LS2 engine and what I can make out it is worth going for the LS3 if you can get one, albeit it would be a bit more than the LS2.

Have got 4% flat rate from my building society (nationwide) which does work out a cracking deal over the years. I am at the max budget wise, as I was originally looking at a monaro CV8, then VXR now VXR8. Have sold my C70 T5 to a workmate for £2000 which I recon is pretty good, so no part-ex. he says he won't budge on price at all, but he hasn't seen the colour of my money yet. wink

May have missed the obvious option but if all else fails then as a final option you could perhaps drive it.

Surely if you are serious and have funds in place as purported then if you turn up and its good then you pay and drive off?

My wrong wording. What i should have said is decided how to get there to get it back.

Massive massive massive grin rotate

What a journey home. Managed 24.1mpg biggrin

I thought the T5 was quick. And the looks you get from the max power lads.

Just found one fault though. The left indicator flashes fast when braking and all bulbs are working so not a blown bulb. Will investigate later, got to calm down first.
