Only a few weeks to go until our first foreign road trip, very excited! Any tips on best route from west london to dover? will need to be there at about 930 on saturday morning. Mustn't miss the ferry - a nice french lunch awaits the other end!

Bayswater - just not sure brixton etc a good idea early on a saturday morning!

depends if you want to go through town or not

if so Vauxhall, The Oval, New Cross, pick up the A20, then M20 and A20 again into Dover

if not, M25, M20 and then A20

at 7 am it will be very quiet, it's fine to drive through
