Can someone explain to me why the shadow is the wrong side of the lander?

Because the pictures were shot in a hangar in the Arizona desert.

It's the right side - the shadows coming the "other way" from the craters are right if you look at them - the light is from the left, the shadows are inside the lips of the craters, not the shadows caused by the craters themselves (if that makes sense).

are you sure thats not a hole that its parked next to? not a boulder. A boulder would cast a shadow - a hole would have a shadow running into it.

Oh yes of course, those aren't mounds, they're craters! And the less pronouced shadows are also dips in the surface, not rises. Hard to tell without my binocular vision! lol

Argument? I was only asking for an explanation that I was clearly lacking.

Like looking up at one of those perforated ceilings in old cars - loads of little dots. Sometimes you just can't focus on it for a few moments and see it as it really is, yet the guy sat next to you has no problems at all.

It were a supposed fake, you'd think they'd make sure the shadows were correct. It would be pretty hard not to notice whilst you were doctoring the pics! lol
