Cost of a new E46 M3 + the options

Hi all,

I've decided to take the plunge into the ///M world and i'm on the lookout for a nice E46 M3 - got a budget of 12-13k.

Had a look at a couple at a local(ish) garage but they looked a bit ropey to be honest - but took a test drive and i'm hooked!!

The salesman did say he had the original bill of sale and he though t'was around the £40k mark.... That got me wondering what the original sale price of the E46 was.

I'd also like to know EXACTLY what was standard and what was an optional extra, people seem to write fully loaded in the advert and then don't list all of the options - it would be nice to have a bit of a checklist.

Ah- a thought has just popped in can anyone come up with the a list of all options and then allocate cost's to them??

I'm Keeping an open mind as to what car, don't want phoenix yellow or that awful looking blue or blue leather! Apart from that just want a nice example will loads of history and has had plenty of ££ thrown at it!! So if you know of any.......
