First dyno run 509bhp
Discussion
Just got back from the dyno today, used a local dyno dynamics to see if my engine was in the right ball park, will get it up to Surrey eventually.
Looks like my homemade exhaust manifolds and exhaust aren't sapping power, 500bhp is what it should've made so looks like its bang on the money, and thats only at 6psi of boost, with totally stock internals.
The mapping is just a base map. I need to do some data logging and send it back to Wortec for them to cast their eyes over it. Maybe order my 9psi pulley at the same time
Had to take a photo before the run just in case I was going to be taking it home in a bin liner

Only got FWHP graph I'm afraid, first time I've put a car on a dyno, was suprised they don't do a coast down run to calculate the drivetrain losses
It made 373RWHP. Runs had to be made in 5th gear due to wheelspin issues. rev limit was set to 6000rpm should have set it to 6200rpm.
From the graph it make 474FtLbs torque 90% of which is available at 2000rpm

Here's the AFR and boost pressure graphs. 0.5bar and 11.5afr. Thats exactly whats called for by the ECU so my airflow meter calibration looks good.

The noise on the dyno was awesome, you could really feel it on your chest. The run had to be done in 5th gear as it wouldn't sit on the dyno nicely in 3rd or 4th. More, not knowing the best way to tie a TVR down than too much power I think.
Will get it up to Surrey for comparison sake soon. Will be going to Santa Pod on 17th Oct weather permitting.
Rich.

Having spent many years in the world of Honda's I read that wrong! I would not have thought many people would even dream of converting to front wheel drive....

Excellent numbers and all that torque, must be a hand full at times!
Well done!

Bring it up here Rich, I'll get it done properly
Yep, will see you by the end of the year, I expect.
Agree with the above comments, it hit 150mph on the dyno
The chap should have spent longer strapping it down. The important thing is the graph looks right and the AFR/boost is correct. Finite numbers are for Charlie to produce.
How can the dyno measure the drive losses with any accuracy without a coast down run
Does it just assume?I was expecting a power run followed by dipping the clutch and coasting down, measuring the losses through the tyres, diff and gearbox. That way if I'd left the handbrake on
its effect would have been nulled out
Rich.
Rich,
There is a 1 mile drag race event at Woodbridge on the 18th. Costs £99. If you fancy stretching your Cerb's 'legs' and see how it compares to other metal, pop along! I would really like to have a close look at your install.
P.S. quick question for you - supercharged stock LS3 or forged LSX 454? Considering my options!!

Might be going to this event myself, LSX 454 would get my vote. Richard and i should have a little race! There is a 1 mile drag race event at Woodbridge on the 18th. Costs £99.
