What is this?

Just found this near the back door in the kitchen. What is it?



A cockroach? some sort of Beetle?

It's apprently missing a leg. Right now it's currently rubbing its two front legs together, no doubt calling for backup.

And yes, I understand I should probably kill it. With fire.

It looks a bit like a vine weevil but the colours are different to what I'd expect.

It's a Gay beetle. They're attracted to the scent of Gay.

Well you did say it was crawling through your back door. Presumably it lost the leg whilst kicking your back door in?

That's the desert death beetle.

My friend was bitten by one a while back and he lost half his foot.
