i'd say industrial growhouses, probably tomatoes. its likely polythene not glass

Some crops are covered by very low-laid plastic sheeting (greenhouses of a sort). You can see some areas where its torn or broken.

It doesnt look as solid as a proper greenhouse/buildings, some parts of it look almost at ground level.

That's what was throwing me, they don't look very tall, but the shadows from the edges indicate they are at least a few feet high?
Never seen anything like them before ?

there are loads in spain. look in the supermarket at all the salad that comes from spain, they'll have been grown under one of those. same thing going on in the netherlands but with more robust structures because of the climate.
