I've just bought a Samsung LE32B450 and I'm trying to connect up my PC so that I can use it as a second monitor for watching films etc on the television. However, I've connected up the picture via a 5m VGA cable and have now tried connecting up the sound using a 3.5mm jack to RCA, plugging it into the L-R inputs on the back of the television. However, I can't seem to get any sound out, can anyone help please? Am I missing some settings on the television or PC that will solve this?

Thanks in advance, Arry.

Are you sure the phono sockets on the TV are inputs and not outputs?

If it's got a vga, then there is probably a 3.5mm jack floating around for input.

There is indeed, and it works boxedin, so I'm ordering a longer cable, thanks anyway everyone! There are inputs for RCA but assuming they're for something else....!
