Please, please, can anyone help with a driver for a Soundblaster audio 64 PCI, for a friends PC i've re-formatted. Everything is working fine except i'm a driver short. I've spent an hour on the net and come up with an .ecw file from soundblaster.com i don't know how to use and a whole heap of other sites such as freedownloads.com and downloads.com that lead me nowhere, this used to be easy!

I have an AWE64 ISA card, but Win2000 and WinXP find it without needing a driver disk.....

Thanks Hobbit, but thats the site that gave me a .ecw file that doesn't run with anything. The PC is running win 98.

The ecw file is a wavetable set, you need to download the driver which is shown further down the page.

(Not sure if these links will work)

is this the file you downloaded? I found the "SB PCI 64 V" and the download link is (supposedly) this:

Thanks for your help hobbit, but its not compatible with win98. Don't know what to do now, never thought getting a soundblaster driver would cause me this amount of hassle, wouldn't mind if it wasn't my friends PC.

Doh!, my mistake .

Have you tried DriverGuide? I've found stuff there when I've been unable to find it anywhere else.....
