Direct Access Bike places to do test?
Discussion
I used some place in Haslemere, but unfortunatly they left the country soon after. All I know of is over Farnborough way, near the motorbike shop, not 100% who they are called.
Glad to hear your moving over to 2 wheels! Its the way forward!! (and gives me even more of an excuss to get another bike!;-P

I automatically thought of these people so I presume I must of heard it being recommended in the shop.

Alex,
I did my DAS a few years back with 1st gear and they were pretty good, patient, good facilities for CBT/practice and quite relaxed. My Mrs went round the corner (about 100 yds) to another bike training place that also did repairs and didn't get on so well (she is an awkward cow at the best of times, so maybe not a fair representation on them!)
I will warn you though - learning in wet & slippery conditions is no fun. With no wipers/no kit/no experience on how to not mist up it has put many a possible biker off. As long as it is dry you will have a ball.
Good luck
JP

Plus it did kind of help that I was working at the local bike dealer at the time, so I may of had a slightly reduced rate!
