For a change, on PH, it's not some crap youtube video. More a trailer for the BBC series, Last Chance To See.

Quite amusing..

It even wanted a cuddle afterwards, perhaps they should've had a cigarette together.

i love the way it has that slightly aloof 'yeah i'm the man' look about it whilst it's trying to shag the camera blokes' head biggrin

That was excellent, I've been waiting for this episode. We were on Stewart Island in January, but you can only go to see Sirocco from September - October every two years, so we missed it by just over a year. Trips are available now.

Ulva Island is fantastic, completely natural and protected, the birds don't even know what mammals are so will walk right up to you. Amazing place and I recommend a visit. I sponsor them for a "hectare", NZD50 a year, goes toward the conservation of these and other species.

If you do go to Stewart Island, I recommend Peter and Iris to do your Ulva tour, you can even stay with them (although we didn't know about them until we got there), but Peter must be the most knowledgable person on Stewart Island, http://www.sailsashore.co.nz/

Brilliant place. And I just updated to the correct 'Sails' URL, of which I have no relation to smile
