Taking out the heater (plus ancillaries) from a Griffith...

Does anyone have pics of the procedures to extract a Griffith heater from the engine bay? Is that a huge job? Where are the fan motors for ventilation?

I want to dump the whole thing out of the car...

Don't have any pics but I thought the heater was behind the dash not in the engine bay.

When my car was being respayed the fans and the like were in the nearside wing, just behind the light pod.

All my heating/cooling (ha,ha,ha) has been disconnected. But this winter im getting some form of cold air input system, as it gets too bloody hot sometimes

If any one has any good suggestions please let me know.

The second pic seems the empy right hole where sits the light isn't it? the first pic seems the same but with the upper fiberglass taken away? What's underneath there? a motor?

And where is the heater? the part that heats exchanging water with the coolant rad?

On all Griffs the heater (matrix) box is mounted under the dash, open the glove box, the inertia switch is screwed to the front of it.
On earlier cars the heater blower motor is under the N/S headlamp, on later cars the motor is mounted in the inner wing closer to the heater box.

To get the heater box out,it is easier to remover the main dash, which isn't a difficult job.

How earleir....mine is a '96 griff 500...

Should have the motor in the wing then.

Does it have the re-circ plate in the N/S footwell?
