Certainly is Eric,
'Just spent half an hour with my chainsaw and a tow rope dealing with tree across our road which missed wiping out my neighbour's son in his Scooby by a matter of seconds.
It's taken down my neighbours power lines and those of my other neighbour so I expect the H/E engineers will be busy today
Cheers

As far as I'm aware these things aren't covered by insurance either! Act of God and all that.
I remember quite a few years back that a tree crashed through someone's car in the street in the west end of Aberdeen and they didn't get a penny.
Nah, will still be covered. Happened at our house a couple of years ago during the storms over Hogmanay. Lost approx 400 roof tiles from our 6-month old house, luckily my car was tucked away in the garage and we had my wife's car with us at Murrayfield, but my mates Civic was in our drive and needed a new roof skin, bonnet, front wing, headlamp and windscreen. She wasn't happy, neither was I but that was more to do with the missing roof and new feature waterfall through our bedroom...I remember quite a few years back that a tree crashed through someone's car in the street in the west end of Aberdeen and they didn't get a penny.
Anyway, her insurers covered it but then went after our house insurer to claim it back but were unsuccessful. Strange thing was we were both insured with Norwich Union and the house and motoring departments were arguing with each other.
