What is the control box rattling around behind the circular rubber grommet in the boot?

With a battery taped to it?smile

Don't think so. Diecast box, with a couple of wires coming from it, and a small sealed lead-acid battery taped to it.

It is behind the round rubber grommet next to the boot catch, and is supposed to be held in place by some self-adhesive velcro (TVR must have been one of Velcro's best customers).

But the Velcro has long since given up being adhesive.

Sussed out its a tracker. I didn't know the car had one.

Part number is 5TRK0200UK.

So my next question is, how do I get it activated? I can't find any connection on the internet between that number and the service provider.

I just called Cobra on 08700 11010 and they tested that it was still working and with the correct keeper. You can take out an annual contract or one for life. Not sure what the part No is of mine, but give them a call and they will be happy to assist.

I have the same device. Was it a tracker and did you find out who supplied it?
