don't fancy a very load car either.

thing is that i don't often drive with the top off
i think that makes a big difference
have owned an heavily upgraded esprit se turbo before without cc's and an open exhaust.
the noise in the car was ok but my wife could hear me coming from about 1 mile distance. it helps that we don't have neighbours.
they all moved away :0))

Do, let us know how loud it becomes inside the car - that would be my concern.
As would passing the MOT with no CATs, which is why I'd be loathe to destroy them.
I'd prefer to replace them with pipes, if I could get hem, as I did with the Cerbera. Then the cats can be refitted for MOT day.

yust to let you see what damage the cats make to your chassis
i'm going to sand it and paint it again with heatresistant paint
over that i'll put a piece of heatresisting material
i don't really need to pass the MOT
i've got a guy that will do the test without the cats
he also helped me out with my esprit.

I decatted mine recently, have now covered 600 miles, with all sorts of driving and i really like it.
I hate loud exhausts and am very fussy with it, but the decat pipes ive fitted (TVRPOWER) fitted a treat, and they are not really that loud.
Yes it pops and bangs on the overrun, but not offensively. I expected alot more noise.
At wide open throttle they are awesome, again not offensivly loud, but a nice fierce roar whic i think makes the egine sound powerful.
At cruising speeds on the motorway its fine, i can hear the radio and its civilised enough to not make you go mad.
my chassis is also rusty like that, i bought some of that DeoxGel that ive read about on here, seems to be a very strong rust treatment, and the manufacturers claim it restores the metal to perfect. Ive tried hammerite products on the past andhavent been too impressed.

the car is decatted now and i don't really find that it's a big difference soundwise on the inside.
THE CAR DOES FEEL LIKE HAVING MORE TORQUE
if you drive normally there is no difference in the sound level (more pops and bangs)
if you open up it sounds like an animal
