Well the day is fast approaching and I gotta say I`m getting just a little bit excited, anyway.......

Here are the categories for the day...With a trophy for each.

Highest Speed VXR8 FI ( cat 1)

Highest Speed Monaro FI ( Cat 1)

Highest Speed VXR8 NA ( Cat 2)

Highest Speed Monaro NA ( Cat 2)

Highest Speed VXR8 Mod/NA ( Cat 3)

Highest Speed Monaro Mod/NA ( Cat 3)

Highest speed Open 3000cc and under ( Cat 4)

Highest Speed Open over 3000cc ( Cat 5)

Best HSV 1/4

Best Open 1/4

Top speed of the day

I know that some of you have entered their cars in the wrong Cat... don`t worry we`ll make the necessary corrections

By awarding trophies for speed and not time we are removing the need for a hard launch from the line, saving clutches and transmissions, and a slow start will have little/no effect on your terminal speed.

For those who do want to launch hard with something to shoot for the 1/4 mile trophies ARE awarded on time.

There will be Timing slips for the day with both speed and time on them. by the end of the day we are hoping to be able to make the presentations, however this may have to be deferred to the HSV Dyno Day in Nov.

See you all there......driving

ps

Sophie had a nasty fall from her Trials Bike and is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder, she is however, hoping to make the day and even to run.

She was determined to go over one of the tree trunks I have set up for practice and landed badly, went over the bars and that was that.

She`s ok now just a bit bored and grumpy. Took some time off work to look after her so she`ll be fine.
Still a bit unlikely that she`ll run at TR though

I guess if it's her left arm you'll be riding shotgun and gearchanging. Wish her well.

Should a Highest speed Open 3000cc and Over category not exist?

Do you know what power yours will be running Jez when its mapped fully? Hopefully be a close call between it and Harry's makes it a more interesting race!

The insignia is std? If its wet I think that will have the Astra done but if dry and with that little bit of gas you have I would bet on the Astra!
