What a shame the new series has James Corden - could they not find anyone more annoying?

I hope it's a temporary thing for the first episode.

I think they're doing weekly guest hosts like Have I Got News For You.

Yes he was very irritating - thankfully it's someone else next week.

I thought James Corden did OK, Nice to have a change though, hopefully they'll get Brian Blessed at some point, his appearance on HIGNFY was the funniest thing in recent memory.

Tim Westwood,
Liza Tarbuck,

And frankly either would do a better job than 'Essex boy' hell I'd evn watch it.

Reckon its best days are. Behind it now though,
and I was on the motorway at 2AM the other week, when Mark Lamarr was doing his R2 show,
and that seems a waste of talent especially with SW still. Occupying a prime slot in the afternoons

Other hosts this series will include Rhod Gilbert, David Walliams, Frank Skinner and Dermot O'Leary. For the most part, switch-off tv.
More importantly though, what happened to Bill Bailey? Why's that idiot from the Mighty Boosh replaced him???

I wonder if he'll do his "pretending to be a mincing queen" routine.

Bill decided to concentrate on other work, including his stand up and shows like "Guide to the Orchestra"

He also stated that he didn't like panel shows, and never felt comfortable doing them. Despite what he said, he's actually back doing a number of QI shows next series. Everyone has their price I guess!

Still, it'd be good to have him as a guest presenter on Buzzcock's smile

Very good, but I fear we may have just seen the high point of the series. Alex James is hosting next week.....

How come Simon Amstell isn't doing it anymore?

Rhod Gilbert was fantastic, he should be offered the job permanently if Amstell won't do it - which is a real shame as he was excellent at it.

A very good episode. Gilbert surprised me.

"Sat there like the bloated corpse of Rik Mayall"!

He should get the job of presenter for the next series, or maybe Frankie's place on Mock the Week. Really want to see more of him on t.v.

When he was on Live at the Apollo it was one of the funniest things I've seen in years

Was that the gag about the luggage? His accent seems to make it enven funnier in some way.
