I'm thinking about a set of spiders and think I prefer the 16" ones as I don't fancy having QE2 turning circles and crashy ride on the pretty awful roads near me.
I also find the 16" quite comfortable and the handling is fine for my standard of driving.

Does anybody have a set they are selling or know where I might get some, secondhand is ok and not too fussed about tyres as I have a new set on my original 16's.

There must be some owners out there that have upgraded to 18's

Mail me if you have any info

Thanks
Andy

Darren

It didn't come through, I think my junk mail filter is a bit too sensitive, I've turned it off for now. Could you try again.

Thanks
Andy

I take it that 16 inch spiders are from a Tamora???

Would they be the correct fitment for a Cerbera??

If so I would also be interested in a set if there are any others available.

I believe the speed-6 Cerbie came with 16" spiders fitted. Having said that, they're probably Tamora alloys with different tyres.

I saw some in the classifieds this morning but they were just standard 5 spokes.

Andy, I upgraded from standard 16s to 18s, and found the ride to be barely any firmer at all, and was actually more predictable. I have put 40mm profile tyres on the rear rather than the 35s a lot of people go for. The turning circle is a bit worse, but I mutter & curse it no more than I did before - it wasn't exactly great to start with!

James
If I could get them for the same price as you did then it would be no question.
Where did you go to get your steering bump stops and back axle shaved? I heard they need a few mil off the back to fit the caps.

Had the bump stops done by Team Proactive (as they then were). No need to shave the axle, etc.

16 Inch Tamora wheels fit straight onto the Cerbera 4000/4200 and don't look too bad at all. There should be a few around from Tuscans that were ordered from around 2001 onwards too.

There's some in the classifieds (under wheels/tyres or something, not TVR parts).

edited to add: my car (which I want to upgrade to 18's):

I wouldn't bother upgrading... your brake discs are looking rusty & that'll just show more with 18s.

Seriously, though, definitely think i prefer the look of the 18s.

J_S_G - cheeky! That's the last time I compliment your car! Perhaps we could swap - it'd cover up the max power calipers

I'm planning on selling my spiders (with tyres) when I upgrade the car (suspension, wheels and ECU if all goes to plan) in March/April. Andy has 1st refusal but they'll be in the classifieds if that doesn't work out.

I checked the wheels in the classifieds and it looks like I misread the advert - they seem to be the std wheels, not spiders.
