MOT Failure (not bad news)

They found a rear trailing arm bush with too much play. Took the arm out , pressed new bushes in and gave the arm a new lick of paint. No holes to be found in the arm after 17 years. Chassis looked sound as well. Good cars !!
Other side to be done later after re-MOT.

Edit : Had some simple tools made for the hydraulic press, can be borrowed.

Said you'd end up taking it off Han, how long did you try with it on the car before you changed you approach?

Also if you took pics throughout do you want to do a quick instruction set and I'll shove it up as a page on my site?

Hi Mark,

I had a look at your site again and taking the drive shaft off on diff side was a good advice. So I went straight for arm-off method.
In principle I followed the steps on your site, thanks. Taking the handbrake cable off the shoe was the difficult part. What's the trick here ??

Old bushes were very tight, press went up to 5 ton.
Now waiting for braided hose set from TVR Carparts.
