FNG here again, remarking on what a great forum this is. i am learning by the day. looking for a wedge and being patient whilst picking up great tips from you guys. Even called up the white £1990 number "op north". sounded like just a small issue and something a couple of hours with an auto electrician and you had a bargain!! read aprils pages and mopped my brow in that " thank god for you guys" tone. "everything is not as it seems".
along the same lines, on another classic car site is a c reg 350 in light blue with moody seats!! (in bristol from a dealer who sounded good and honest,) but car has been on for some time. wonder why its not on P.H.? just diggin ! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
There's also a 450 on autotrader £5995(beyond my meager funds)if anyone hasn't seen it.....

Hmmm...£5995 would be damned cheap for a 450, IF in decent nick.
I'm sure if you could locate a PH Wedger near to you, then they'd be happy to let you look over their car, simply to give you an idea of how a good Wedge should be...assuming it is a guddun.
A few tips:
Chassis is expensive to have fixed.
Bodywork, as above.
Paint, as above.
Interior, as above.
Hood, as above.
Mechanics not too bad.
Electrics...a pain, but not too dear.
Bolt on bits (suspension, brakes) not too bad.
Good luck !
Oh, and Cumbria generally means 'Lake District' to you over-populated savverners.
Bring yer Mac.

I think the Bristol one was one I saw when I was buying mine last year - August. It was an absolute pig - arrived before he had chance to prep it and it was in a sad and sorry state. The test drive felt like I was taking my life in my hands, brakes were shot and it was weazy and wallowey!
I hope he's sorted the mechanicals to the same standard he's done to the body/interior from the look of the pictures.
He's a nice enough bloke - but still a dealer, so even though the price looks attractive, it's probably still overpriced (!) for the quality!
