Almost a 147 owner...

Evening everyone.

Hoping to be the owner of a 147 Lusso by tomorrow afternoon

The Alfa bug bit me a fair while ago and I've been looking for the perfect 147 for a while now. Anyway, today I found it... a 52 plate 1.6 Lusso in silver with black leather. 1 owner and 35000 miles. Getting the car transported to the dealership I work for, checking the car over, having it sent through the workshop and it'll be paid for upon my satisfaction of the vehicle.

Just a few questions please. The cambelts need doing at 36k, correct? How much would this cost as an approximation? Do all Lussos have cruise control or was this an optional extra from new? Lastly, once I've owned an Alfa, will I ever go back or am I scarred for life?

Cheers. If/when the car is mine, I'll spend a few days polishing and then upload some pictures, hopefully with some help from you forum regulars.

Depending on who does it, between £200 and £300 on a 1.6 (they are cheaper to do than the 2.0). Make sure you do the tensioner and idler pulleys at the same time.
