Front 20 x 8 5x120 with offset 35

Rear 20 x 9 5x120 with offset 35 ???

I will be changing to coilovers at the same time or very near to it if that makes a difference.

The rear ones will be tearing the bodywork off I suspect.

Bollocks had a feeling that would be the answer! Start searching again then.

What are they? BMW 5 series?

I'm going to be looking properly at my wheels - probably next week to get all the sizes off front and back (as I can't find all the specs on the internet). Once I have that, I'll be shopping for a new set.

If it's as I believe, then a staggered set of E46 3 series (non M3) look to be the favourites at the moment.

For the Monaro I'd forget the 20s. Have a look at wheels in Aus if you are serious. Talk to Monkfish too as they seem to have some.

Been looking in US as the websites are quite good, not found much in the way of decent sites in Aus.

Would loves 20's on it as the std wheels to me just look too small, if its impossible then will stick with the std ones no point changing in my mind if cant go bigger.

If can get the rolling radius similar, i.e lower profiles tyres then they will fit as overall is the same size! Its just finding the wheels with the sizes that like is the hard bit.

Sorry, but I'm new to VX. What are you trying to achieve? 20" wheels, or wider rear tyres, or something else? If the Monaro VXR runs the same sized wheels all round (which I think it does), then you're better off sticking with matching the fronts and backs.

plenty of Oz wheel suppliers if you know where to look, Street Commodores magazine is handy for that. Only thing is the Australians are into a bit of bling I'm afraid and really most of the stuff they offer is shiny chrome.

Plenty on eBay. I don't expect the 20s to help the Monaro handle. But if you just want bigger wheels.

Essentially after 20's as say dont think the std wheels looks big enough and not a huge fan of the style of the std ones either. Wider rear wheels would be a major bonus but likely to be impossible without rolling arches etc. Ref the front and backs its most likely will have to go the same size all round, ideally I would put wider on the back for extra grip.

Just to save you trawling old threads:

Apparently the contact at Wheelking is called Frank. A couple of people on here imported some (Coupe 4 Alloys) and advised to forget tyres despite tempting package deals as it adds too much to the import duty. I was also advised that you'd be looking at around 25% on top of listed price once you account for VAT, Duty, Shipping costs to UK etc. Apparently the rims turned up in 5 days from ordering. Was tempted myself.

Take it the import duty goes on the overall cost of the items being shipped hence the extra duty makes the tyre deals not worth doing?

Cheers for the info, its a bugger finding the wheels that fit for a start then finding out that the sizes they only make them in dont fit either aaarrrgghh lol

Not sure, but that's kind of what I was advised from people here before. Two people said not worth shipping with tyres, get them in the UK. One of them said that they did and they wished they hadn't cos they got stung heavily by DHL.

Tell me about it. I feel your pain. Have you tried Walkinshaw and Magic919 said, Monkfish? Both offer sets with the correct fitment I believe. Pricey though. Good luck
