can antone tell me what the two toothed disc's are used for on either side of the diff. I can see the one on the o/s has a pickup sensor, maybe for the speedo, cant see if the n/s has a sensor on it. 2001 4.5 cerb.

Toothed wheel is part of the output shafts. The speedo sensor sits on the near side and counts the teeth. Nothing looks at the off side.

thanks, mines the other way round the sensor sits on the O/S. I think these will make an ideal pick up point for a traction control sensor.
Has any one fitted the Racelogic traction control to a Cerb...was it any good?

You mean like this smile

Steve Heath sells a bracket which bolts to the rear diff to mount one of the wheel speed sensors, the other is mounted using the speedo pick up bracket, there's just enough room to dill a hole in the bracket to mount the sensor.

Steve also supplies two brackets for the front wheels, the sensors pick up on the back of the wheel studs.

System works really well on my car, haven't tried the launch control yet and not got use to it enough to start sliding it but from a confidence point of view its nice to know its there, controls wheel spins superbly, I started at 0% and now I'm on 8%, you can feel the difference each increment makes.

That's unkind, at a guess the RL control box is slightly smaller than the ashtray and that's why it looks cack.

I must say the unit's come a long way from the one I fitted to my 300zx

It's a lovely system and works very well indeed. yes

I believe it's a WIP the interior's due to be sorted when the car has been shaken-down fully. smile

Exactly thumbup

Interior didn't fair well during the resto, family of May bugs moved in and I had some wierd culture growing on the head lining laugh

Complete interior retrim on the cards at some point. Just fitted cream Tuscan seats, not too bad a match with the magnolia but will get the makeover eventually.

TC controller was just slightly smaller than the ash tray but its ok for now.

Got to concentrate on finishing the outside.....just got my invitation to exhibit her at the Pistonhead show in January woohoo
