Homophones

My eight year old son is currently working on homophones at school and understood it all very quickly.

These are words that sound the same that have different spellings and meanings, for instance there, their and they're and to, two and too.

It is something that I am pleased he is learning as it always surprises me while reading this and other forums how often people get it wrong, mostly their being substituted with there and too with to.
