which trackpump ?

any recommendations? MTB use, don't wish to spend more than £30. prefer one, if available, that has a longer reach (being 6+ft).

Can't comment on all the ones on the market but I have a Bontrager Challenger and it, errr, always inflate ok and the guage seems reasonably accurate.

Joe Blow always seem to get good write ups though.

I bought a topeak joe blow a while back and ive no complaints. Seems well made for the cost and gets good reviews. No problems with reach for me at 6'2"

I have a Joe Blow and it is really nice to use (I am 6' 1"). The twin valve head makes changing from presta to schrader really easy. You literally just put the T shaped head on to the valve the other way round.

I use it for road bike, mountain bike and even my car tyres. High pressure and volume no issue.

It is at Evans for £25 here.

Thoroughly recommended as better than any other pump that I have used (quite a few but can't remember which ones).

Joe Blow for me... although apparently every wants it, as it got knicked from my office's underground car park whilst it was hidden behind an air con unit, so in no way visible!!

I know a lot of people slate the track pump that is sold at Aldi (sometimes) but I bought mine from there about 2 years ago and it has been fine, the pressure guage is accurate enough and I have even used it to pump up the tyres on MrsSpdpug98's Freelander!

I am sure that now I have said that it will blow itself to pieces next time I use it

Recently-ish bought a Joe Blow to replace a knackered old Beko pump I'd had for about 10 years.
Too soon to say if it will last a similar length of time but it was reasonably cheap and seems well-made. Easy to use too (I'm 6'2").

yep Greg, dusted off earlier this year. got new punctures, MTB put back into retirement.. but the calling is still there. so....


but quite fancy getting a road bike now too!

Mine's absolute rubbish the gauge under reads by 10psi or so. Made my bike like a boneshaker
