Words fail me, they really do. We need police to patrol these estates on a regular basis, and the CPS to work with the local councils to avoid this happening.

So, what now? E-petition? Wait for the woman to burn her son and then rant on forums across the land? 
What is anyone in authority going to do about it?
Don't get me wrong. I could write paragraphs about the scum who are picking on these poor people but that doesn't achieve anything. I'm just tired of reading about yet another victim; I want to see positive action taken. I want to see justice.

If the pact between rulers and the ruled in so far as the protection of the weak and the preservation of the rule of law is broken, then the only logical step is for the population to circumvent the rule of law and to once again take "justice" into their own hands..
does anyone imagine that scum like the Hambridges would persist in their persecutions if the rest of the estate stood up to them and broke their legs/arms/heads from time to time? Of course, were that to happen, suddenly the Police and local authorities would find the time and resources to track down and prosecute the vigilantes. The Hambridges would no doubt get compo.
I could weep for the suffering of this poor woman.

I'm possibly about to expose my stupidity/naivity now, but how exactly do you sterilise someone with a brick (or indeed, bricks)? Words fail me, they really do. We need police to patrol these estates on a regular basis, and the CPS to work with the local councils to avoid this happening.

the problem with this once fine country is - now the law protects the scum. The scum know this.
Scum like this are taking a risk - as more and more of society are sick of this being allowed.
They will keep going until someone, somewhere knows one of the many members of society that are sick of putting up with it.
Then the scum will be taken down, hard.
Good luck scum, but don't cross the path of the silent majority - that are willing to take the law into their own hands to get the result that is required

They will keep going until someone, somewhere knows one of the many members of society that are sick of putting up with it.

Seriously we need to cull 1% of the population as these scum are a tiny percentage and culling them would be great

That article makes me feel sick to my core. I thought I'd had a bad day at work but that poor woman puts my puny problems in perspective. What I can't believe is both the attiude of the police and the rest of the people on the estate. Surely someone should have had the common decency to help.
