What to do?

I have bought some sealant and grey garage floor paint (about £90 quid for a tin of each!) but I happened across a leaflet advertising garage floor tiles which look OK. (Dynotile I think).

It's going to be a lot more expensive (£300 for single, £600 for double, with ours somewhere inbetween) but I wonder whether it would be worthwhile.

How are they in use? Slippery when wet? Easy to clean up spills? Resilient? Insulated to keep the space warmer?

I used a two part epoxy paint which I got from ebay, should last forever as it is the stuff they use on high traffic industrial sites. I paid around £200 for 3 coats on a double garage and it looks really good. The other thing is I painted the walls white which really brightens the space up.

On the patterns page, choose tiles and tell it dimensions and it will quote for you.

Still undecided on this. Will seal it tomorrow, but I am looking at at least £600 which seems a lot of money in comparison to a 50 quid tin on International garage floor paint...

There is cheap stuff on ebay but there's probably a reason it's cheap.

Does the flooring insulate the garage and keep it warmer?

Hmmm, actually, I can't find the cheap stuff on ebay any more.

Garage is 3m x 6.5m and everywhere seems to be at least £600 and some nearer £800 which is a lot of money that could be spent on toys!

Somebody on one of these threads mentioned bigdug and I have looked at their flooring:

http://www.bigdug.co.uk/workbenches-c9/workshop-fl...

They do nice cheap ribbed 3mm rubber flooring - 2 rolls, £132 + del/vat. Trouble is, I can see the ribs getting full of oil & ste, so I'm not so keen on that.

They do studded stuff too, in black and grey. I fancy grey so as the garage is not too dark, but it's 40% more than the black!!

Black studdded stuff works out at £198 for 2 rolls, with VAT and delivery £260. That sounds OK to me, what do others think? Does it need adhesive or does it just sit on the floor OK?

These are the rolls of flooring, not the interlocking tiles.

When I ordered shelving from Big Dug phoning for a price got me the 3+ rate for only 1 rack, or something like that so worth a try.

The problem with paint is it soon looks crap again you get patches apearing where there was a few molecules of grease on the floor. If you want to do a proper permament job then you have to spend a little but that spend will last forever. PVC tiles are best and you can even take them with you when you move house. Here's an option Garage Flooring
