Hi all,
Last year I had some Pit tickets for the Friday morning where you could walk along the pit lane and photo the cars and crew. These were part of the Porsche Club package. This year it looks like I might be going with a diffrent bunch and would like to know if I can get these Tickets myself.

Thanks for any help.

This might shock you but the Pit Lane walkabout on Friday is free. You just need your usual entrance ticket.

Are you sure this is the case, I have just spoken to Travel destinations and then have told me that there package does not include this ticket and you do need one to visit the Pit land on the Friday morning.

I can't remember having one last year but perhaps I was a little hung over???

thanks

The ACO have never charged admission or issued a seperate ticket for the Friday pit lane walkabout in the 10 years that I have been going.

They may have changed the rules for 2004 but somehow I doubt it. There booking terms for 2004 make no mention of any such charge.

A pit lane pass for the Saturday is an entirely different matter and I think that it is this that is being talked about.

There are pit lanes and there are pit lanes!

To get to the pits on Friday is free, to get there on Saturday is (as they say) mucho expensive

There is however a Paddock Ticket, this lets you in BEHIND the pits where last year TVR had their trucks and cars - this I seem to recall cost about €15 and may well be what you had from Porsche - if so then you dont need to buy in advance, you can get them on the day from a couple of ticket offices near the back of the paddock
