WTF? Can't these people do just a tad more research and get their facts right?

A £110,000 Ferrari Modena similar to the one which exploded into a ball of flames

How much would it have sold for new? The article doesn't quite make it clear.

This is the kind of schadenfreude that is sadly very common in this country!

Shows you how strong they are to get out with just a broken ankle...

As for aluminium and carbon fibre making them 'lightweight but burn quicker'.... right...

As usual, seems the Wail is being a trifle selective. There seem to be quite a few bits missing from that, like engine, gearbox, etc. It has also clearly been moved and has probably fallen to bits coming off the recovery lorry. Still , mustnt let the facts get in the way of a sensational high performance car story!

However, enormous kudos to the guy who stopped and undoubtedly risked his life to pull the occupants free. Lets hope he gets the recognition he deserves - very selfless act .The driver and passenger would very likely have not made it otherwise.

they dont look like CS wheels ...I think the picture was just a random archive shot and the car was maybe a standard 360 ?

Correct. The picture they show saying "This is what a normal 360 looks like" is actually a Challenge Stradale and the exact picture is from wikipedia.

Had a closer look now and I got slightly confused by the rear diffuser being dumped on the front of the car!The inlets are visible to the right of the picture, so the engine/box is still there. The diffuser has been dumped on the nose of the car and the shells of the seats are also visible.

I am still of the opinion that the car didn't come of the recovery truck like that though - it seems to have no structural integrity at all so I dont see how it could have been moved. It allmost looks as if it has caught light again and burned where it stood!

Working in one form for a newspaper company, I am constantly irritated by the hopeless knowledge and innaccurate pictures submitted in articles like this.

The ****er who smashed this 360 up FORTUNATELY didn't spend the extra and force the world to mourn the loss of a CS!
