Gentlemen of the Watch forum! My Tag is in for a new battery and reseal (was surprised that it is going to cost me £45), so I thought I'd dig out my old Seiko Kinetic as a stopgap.

Alas, it is currently on a cheapo leather strap as I busted the original metal/rubber one when I fell 20 feet off a ladder a few years back rolleyes Question is, where is the best place to source a complete strap from? I can see that they do an exchange/replace on Ebay but can't seems to find a qhole strap anywhere?

Also, as it has been lying around in my office at home for a number of years, will it need any of the internal looking at, or will I be OK if I just sit there for an hour or so, giving it some 'coffee beans', so to speak, whilst watching telly?

It's a 5M42 according to the backplate.

£45 for a battery?

I had a similar experience when wanting a bracelet adjusting. £30 for a Tag sir. Take it elsewhere.

Too late - it's already being done. Bit miffed that it costs that much but there you go.

Anyone have any ideas on the strap front, for the Seiko?

I got a genuine Seiko strap off some guy in Hong Kong through EBay for less than a tenner not so long ago.

Shame I've since lost the watch. frown
