Best kids ride on?

Looking for a ride on for the kids for Christmas, oldest will be 4, youngest 2, need a two seater.

Would like one with a decent ride time - at least 30 mins

Anyone got any experiences or ideas?

This may be of no use to you at all, but I did see an awsome Fiat 500 Abarth kid's electric car in a toy shop in Parma a few weeks back. I've no more detail than that (although it was aout €150 which seemed cheap) but at least it shows they're available. Our little lad's too little for it yet though.

Sorry, but I'm afraid if you want something decent and durable - you have to build it yourself.
The kids ride-ons like the ones in Toys-R-Us use crappy little motors and weak plastic gears...no bearings or a differential in sight.
I made this for my kids...




24v derestricted mobility scooter running gear ~12mph, lasts for hours on a charge.

Can't find a kid's ride-on but they do women's ride ons, presumably for lesbians and divorcees. No lights -no broken glass to clear up!

That's superb, but, i'm not exactly handy at welding

Well done though, wish I could do something like that.

I'm ideally after something that's 24v and lasts for a while, an hour charge and 25 minute running time is pointless when you have impatient kids!

I once saw a 1/4(?) scale Lambo Countach on Ebay. Not some plastic toy thing, but a kit car quality replica.

You can also get tiny little petrol quad bikes... I remeber playing on one when I was younger... perhaps not ideal for a 2 yearold... but for 5>

It had a removeable speed restrictor on it

+1 for the toylander my dad and uncle built one for me when i was younger, it was the best toy i ever had, they scavenged the motor from an army surplus place and it was indecently quick for a kids ride on, still got it tucked away in the garage ready for when i have kids.
