Hi PH'ers,

I'm a fan of a good red, and I've managed to get a nice bottle of Château la Nerthe 2004.
So I thought I'd try and cook up something that would go with the wine. I was thinking to do something like 2-3 courses and maybe get another bottle of something nice to compliment it all.

Can anyone suggest a meal to go with the wine and maybe another bottle to go with it all?

Thanks!

If this is a Cuvée des Cadettes 2004, then I think you should come back in at least 10 years time with this question....

Presuming you mean the red, Pape generally works with "big" food - stews, cassoulet, beouf bourgignon, hearty soups or heavily flavoured roasts & steaks (Beef Wellington, herbed lamb). Avoid salt.

And I agree - Parker suggests something that would take five or more years to cook...
