Rockingham - TBC

They are looking to add another couple to bring the series up to 12 rounds.

I just spoke to John Reid about Knockhill and he said that the GTs ARE going up there, so good news for Scottish motorsport enthusiasts.

Well....they seem to agree with the provisional dates that were posted here a little while ago....with the addition of a couple of races.

Now at least we can start planning some support runs out.

Thanks for that Griff2be.

No.6

Did JR hint or confirm definitively that Lord Wheeler of Blackpool has agreed to Stefan Ratel's requirements then ?

Or was he just confriming dates if the terms are agreed in the future ?...noting the word "provisional"

Rockingham is being boycotted by the GT/F3 series as the F3 yoofs couldn't keep off the kerbs.

JR said he was talking to (someone? about) Rockingham - would be outside F3/GT. I quite liked those kerbs! No problem in a Tuscan

Chuggaboom - I didn't question whether TVR have agreed financial arrangements with the F3/GT people - I thought it might be a bit like going into a car showroom and the salesman saying to you 'are you sure you can afford it, sir?'. I take TVR's information in good faith, knowing it may be subject to change. Everything in motorsport is 'provisional' until it happens (e.g. timing of races at Brands) - so don't read too much into that.

Other news: the fabled sequential gearboxes are allegedly going to be ready for the start of this season.....waits for 29 to say "We've heard that one before...."

Have these dates been confirmed/altered yet??

Particularly interested in the Knockhill ones, I have heard that the GTs are definately not going, could this affect the Tuscans.

No changes proposed to the Knockhill date that we have been told of. The absence of the GTs should have no bearing on this.

From my tea break spent with the lads in the race department at the factory on Friday, I can confirm that the race dates they have pinned to the wall are the ones above.

SO TUSCANS WILL BE AT KNOCKHILL

The knockhill website says British F3's in the 15th/16th May, I thought that the F3's followed the GT's round the Country, have they split this year??

It'll be a shame not to have those Thundering Moslers and T400Rs at Knockhill you Tuscan boys will just have to make up for that

F3/GT are usually on the same bill, but don't be surprised to find one or two race meetings where they are separate. The scheduling of motorsport is one of the dark arts, so far as I can tell!

It seems to be due to the British GT Series being run by a different organisation (Stefan Ratell).
