I was surprised to see seven pages of new model Z4s on the AUC website. Obviously they are mainly 'demonstrators' or openly pre-reg cars.

Does this mean sales are struggling in the context of the general 11% rise in new car sales in September?

Ive seen one round here, funnily enough it was this morning as I pulled out of my road. Not all that impressed with it.

I've also only seen one. Driven by the local BMW salesman.

I see one, on my drive! Got one as a courtesy car. Not half bad either.

I've seen a few in and around London. And I have to say, they're growing on me.

But... I stopped in at Dick Lovett's on the way past Swindon a couple of weeks back and was surprised at the laughable complete lack of boot space with the roof down. Would be a deal breaker for me - I know they're not intended as family cars, but I would want to be able to fit a week's luggage in the back!

I wonder how many others are being put off by the same thing.

I'll be sticking with the Z4MC...

Probably not representative but I work opposite BMW Finance UK. Everyone there seems to get a new BMW every year or so. When a new model comes out a few people get them, but the Z4 is immensely popular. I'm not so if it's just because I don't notice the other models as much, but it started with just the director getting one at launch but within a few weeks they were everywhere! I can count five out of my window now and I know there's more round the back. Nice looking cars smile

Hi Rob, are you based at Hook? I work for BMW here. change cycle on new cars is 3 months at the moment, so most people are on their 3rd/4th car for this year, plenty of Z4's amongst them. Speaking to dealers they seem to think the car is doing well against expectations in the current maketplace...
