Just been out on my local ride along the local bridal ways and Solent Costal path, it is the first time I have been out in the mud, chucking down rain and cold this year. Is it just me or does anyone else really enjoy their MTB'ing much more at this time of year

There is nothing better that riding along through the mud and rain and then getting back and washing the bike down......maybe it's just me smilesmile

Just you - I'd rather get out and do some miles on the road bike at the moment (although I'm off to Wales at the end of Nov - which should be interesting...)

Thought it might be! I have a day in Wales next week for some site meetings and will probably do my last ride of the year at Afan - will be interesting to see how wet it is after all this rain (I know it usually remains quite dry but we have had a lot of rain)

It's been very dusty around Herts so the rain should have damped it down a bit. Could barely see anything following some other chaps on a night ride last week.
