Hi,

Apologies if the answer is obvious but I have no idea.

I've got a small commercial unit which will have about 4 workstations, I need to get some heating for above each station as I think trying to heat the whole unit will be impossible. What is the difference between halogen and infra-red heaters.

Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

Thanks

A halogen heater will work like a normal portable heater, it warms air up around its elements then the warm air is blown out into the room, they`re ok for heating small rooms to increase the overall air temperature, expensive to warm large areas

An infrared heater works by radiation, it only heats bodies direcly in its path and doesn`t warm the air up, their effect is felt instantly but if you move out of their path you have no heating effect, very good and economical for heating fixed work stations in a larger room
