UK Vs. US Head Gaskets

We are looking at any possibilities of improving cooling of the cylinder heads on our M400 and I want to make sure that the water passage restrictions on our US Ford Escape engines is the same as the UK Mondeo based engines.

Here is a photo of the US head gaskets where you can see the restriction holes in the water passages. If someone has access to a UK gasket and can look and see if they appear to match I would be most grateful.

Yes Paul, they clearly deliberately restrict some of the block to head water passageways on the UK cars too. I'll see if I have some old ones around to compare the pic's?

These were off a 2.5L car.

Wow! What a massive difference in the holes in the gaskets. Now I have to wonder if the differences are just because it is off a 2.5 L.

Anyone have accesses to some 3.0 Mondeo ST220 gaskets for comparison?
