As an alternative to the usual mid xmas lull, I propose a mid winter beach BBQ. With the midlands beach options being either the east or west coasts, I suggest going east and having a BBQ at Skegness. Will be about 160 miles round trip, bring your own portable or kettle BBQs for cooking/heating. Add your name to the list if you are interested - I'm going anyway !

We might be going away over Christmas, but if we don't, then yes, count me in.

Be good to see you again Bob.

Good idea.

What is the worst that can happen?

I'm in if we are around. Might have to go and see the folks then though.

It has been said that I'm a little unhinged before and yes I have been to Skeggy a number of times (not for about 20 years though !)

We have a big static caravan/ mobile home in the garden if you all fancy shearing it.Sleeps 6 I think. Best time to visit skeggy when all the holiday makers have gone home.

Plenty of hotels on the front, like The Royal, at £50 with breakfast, would be good to make a full day, night of it.

BBQ on the beach, beers, curry or something in the evening, B&B.

I have a BBQ and intend to be there !

Does sort of depend on Ness being able to get hold of some sort of vehicle for the day though ! (or getting a lift)

My caravan is currently ocupied by a mate who has fallen out with his wife.....
I`m still up for a get together. My Sons mates parents own one of the beter Hotels and I bet I can get a real real cheap deal sorted.

I think we should organise some thing for the summer, I have a 4 acre grass field thats fine for camping and caravans and should even have the toilet block finnished for the summer. How about we have a couple of bands play and have a proper piston heads at the sea side party ? We should have a chat about it on the 28 th.

Pistonbury!

Sounds a good plan.

Still not quite sure where will be over Christmas.
