One for all the gardening experts.
My lawn is destroyed by my female dog peeing all over it. I realised the other day that the large grass area at the bottom of our street doesn't seem to be affected in the same way despite hundreds of dogs peeing on it.
So its easy to guess that its a tougher kind of grass than what i have in my garden, perhaps a hard wearing mix that the council uses?
The question is anyone know? Can anyone tell me about different types of hardwearing grass? In particular something doggy resistant!

I don't think any grass is resistant to dog urine. It's effectively an overdose of fertiliser (nitrogen) which kills the grass. You'll either have to train to dog to do it somewhere else, or possibly reduce the effect by hosing the area liberally afterwards with water to dilute the urine.

It may that the dogs there are only scent marking, ie a quick squirt, whilst yours is emptying the tank...? And being deposited from a greater height in a breeze, rather than blasted in at point-blank range, will make a big difference too.Probably a BSc thesis in there!
