My offside exaust has started to spit very small black
soot which is sticking to the back end. The inner part of the exaust is black as well. I was hoping it was maybe the lamda sensor. Any offers on symptoms would be appreciated.

Only recently had valves done at TVR Power. But that has crossed my mind. Ive done about 700m since valves but not to sure how much oil ive used its somewere between 1/2 and 1 litre, so no not really, thats about average. I thought oil would be cleaner than black if you know what i mean more blue'er and its only one side as well. ?

I see you have a SP6. If it's only occurring on one side, then a specific cylinder could be chucking out oil.

Oil deposits will look a smokey black.

Why did you have the valves "done" can I ask?

I was using oil, I asked my dealer to have a look because sometimes its hard to get a reading, they topped it up and told me to come back aftwer 200m
checking it but not topping it up unless it was critical. When i took it back they kept it sent it to TVR Power for new valves that was about 700m ago now this.

You can get a little black soot from the V8's, and its common. Not sure with the S6's.

Could be water in the exhaust system. My Cerbera used to do this, could be on either side or both,(V8), never lost any water so I guess it was just condensation. Don't know if the SP6 Cerbera has separate exhausts, T350 has two pipes from the engine going to the back box but the box is common unlike the V8 Cerbera. If the deposit is dry and sooty I would expect water to be the carrier, if you are not loosing coolant I doubt it is a problem.
