My OBC has gone all French!
Discussion
I recently upgraded the software on my Mk IV DVD based Sat Nav (in my E38 750i) together with a new Map DVD.
I have subsequently noticed that my OBC display in the dash has turned to French, although when you select the items to display in there, it is all in English. I guess i can always try to downgrade the software (if i have the old disk) but is there a lanuage setting somewhere within the OBC to change it back?
Many thanks

That sounds a tad weird, but, at the risk of stating what you already know & using the menory of setting up mine: if you toggle down to set up, & select, one of the choices is language, which you can then choose between. I've not had mine do English for one, French for the other, but I guess it may be an option someone wants!

1. Press menu, giving you the "computer, sat nav, tv, radio etc" page.
2. Toggle to "set" , bottom left, press to select.
3. Should give you the options for split or wide screen, units for mileage etc.
4. Bottom of this page, I have, so I reckon you should have, three choices, "I, GB, F" - Italian, British, French.
5. If F is highlighted, that's your issue. Selecting GB should do it.
If yours is the first, the prinicples should still work, but the options may be on a different part oft he screen. I'll see if I can find a page with some photos.

I have upgraded the kit to the MkIV dvd based, wide screen system BUT my problem is no doubt due to the fact that i have used an "after market" software upgrade, which loads fixed cameras, and provides an audible warning. You have confirmed what i suspected, so I think i sahll be speaking to the chap who sold the upgrade to me.
I do appreciate your help sir, thank you
