Yes I was there, blue BMW 325ci, fantastic day...not for one of the Caterham crew who stoved it on "Chris's" bend though...

Glorious weather....as you say, perfect!

It was a fantastic day!

My first trip to Cadwell ... loved it.

Couple of vids from the day:

Haven't sorted the pics yet - will post them up when I have.

Real shame about that Caterham - it looked ace in its Brawn GP livery ... though perhaps when they put it back together they'll swap it to a Mercedes engine ... wink

That Caterfeild was there last month, was one of the quickest cars there which is not suprising with an S2000 engine and slicks. Normally the wishbones are designed to crumple on impact to save the chassis so hopefully it'll be back out soon.

OK, here are a few pics.

I have quite a few more (though many are not that great tbh) so if you're looking for your car let me know and I'll have a look.

I was there in the orange caterham style car(MNR R1)with the full cage. Its the first time we have properley drove it due to some 'problems' we have had. All seems well now though, and i am well happy with it.

I was there, red mk3 Golf, and could'nt have asked for better conditions.

Had a great day, think I did the best part of 180 miles on track.

A thumbup to the people I met on the day and can't wait for the next one.

As we watched the footage of the day, we were commenting on you and your car. Can I thank you for your impecable trackday etiquette beer, Unlike a couple of the mitsubishi evo owners.

I had an Evo overtake me on the fist corner at Halls Bends! Thought that was a bit ridiculous...and dangerous...luckily I checked my mirrors before committing to the corner...

Didn't have too many other problems during the day.....apart from that hire-track-car whatever it was indicating left when it wanted you to pass?!

Hiya, don't post on PH much but just spotted this thread, I was there on Thurs as well (Black E30 3 Series). Was an excellent day, well run, perfect weather and good mix of courteous cars.
Always sad to see someone's pride and joy come off damaged as above, although he was pushing it a bit, squeezing past me mid corner earlier in the same lap..
A few pics below and more here; http://s962.photobucket.com/albums/ae105/TheCarDis...

Tertius, do you happen to have any photos of the E30? Also, are they TMR wheels on your Elise? They look ace on a yellow car with black details...

Cheers,
James

The wheels are Lotus drop forged, from the 240R, who actually makes them I don't know. I agree they look good though ... I like the yellow and black look, especially on the S2 which is so wasp-like anyway ...

Will check for the E30, was that the black one, 324 on the back?

Ah, 240R ones, makes sense now (don't think I saw them not rotating at any point!) cool
Yeah that's the one, originally a 316i but now has a 2.5 engine which came with 2.3 ignition setup on for some reason, I thought I'd badge up as a 324i just to be different.. idea

Was this the e30 on a g plate with race seats??

if so we passed you on the motorway on the way to the track!!

we were in convoy, orange mnr(caterham style), silver vx220, and a white qashqi(support vehicle).

your car looks well clean, i love e30's.
