Whilst i do not condone the behaviour of these chaps, it does seem odd that 'kids' with comparable criminal histories get away freely whilst this pair of duffers get thrown in prison?

I suspect they may have been jailed due to their criminal records rather than for the offence. Most little scrotes don't have extensive records for dishonesty.
