The ECU on my BMW E36 316 has given up the ghost. The Garage recon they are individual to that car and need to be reconditioned rather than buy one from a scrap yard and simply replace the part.
im sure u can pick up one from the scrap yard m8 as long as its the exact same pat no, take note of the part no an look on eurocarparts or like u said see the local scrappy, i'd look on ebay as somtimes u can pick the exact one up for not to much an get it programed to ur car.
