My Griffith came with magnecor leads and due to a misfire I have just removed the plug extenders and connected directly to the plugs. Misfire has gone and car is transformed.
So, I obviously need new plug extenders but which ones - current ones are the original, and 5k ohm resitor - presumably I need the non suppressed ones with magnecors, or does it not really make any real world difference?
I guess ACT etc are best for non suppressed but if I wish to get original suppressed ones, in conjunction with a set of normal leads, where should I look?

Yep, what the big guy ^^ said.

My plug extenders are ACT, 4 years old and still going strong.

I bought 8.5 mm magnecor leads and plug extenders off Tim (ACT) in 2001.

I've never had a problem with em and they are still working fine.

Just fitted Magnecor leads, extenders, plugs, K&N and smooth bore plenum to AFM elbow all from Tim at ACT.

Result?

My Chimaera is transformed

Good prices, great advise and only top quality parts from Tim.

Only caveat to my advise and I'm a big fan of Tim due to his knowledge and customer service . . . is that I wouldn't let Magnecor leads darken my engine bay ever again.

Moroso leads, 135 degree bend at the plug, cut and make to your own length, 75% the cost of Mangecors and last longer in my experience. . . Available in 8mm or 10mm in different colours from Real Steel. You can also get 90 degree or straight ends as well (Plug end obviously)

You'll need to buy a crimping tool for the first time you fit them, which you can use again afterwards for other sets .. . .

A word of warning to everyone on here.

This man throws Magnecor leads into trees, don't let him anywhere near your engine bay if you have them.

Magnecor leads are resistive in themselves so unresistive shrouds would be the way to go.

Had them on my S3 for 2 years and on my Griff for over 5. No problems, bar one lead being too close to the exhaust manifold, replaced under warranty from ACT. smile
