Congrats , for what it's worth once their out of their first baby seat, you can get 1 adult, 1 child and 14 bags of shopping in the car.............for a short journey...........if the're empty.

Andy "mentored" me when I first owned mine and as far as I know was the very first owner to dabble in upgrading their cars.

Andy "made" me drive his car at North Weald when I was umming and aghhing about getting one...and "forced" me into doing a 720, all on the first day we met...what a guy! It's him I have to thank for 5 years of driving Nirvana. I also have to thank him for the biggest blister I've ever had after dragging me around and over a very large Spanish mountain I dout he'll see this, but, Andy, you are a top bloke...now go and get a job!

He still reads on here very occasionally, and mother and father are doing well after about 2 days of labour!!!! It was well worth it though, and the piccies show a lovely, if somewhat newborn look, girl.

He also will soon be married as well having thrown a dimond into the equation after the little star came out in typical Andrew style.

His blog of his travels is something to behold.

Thanks for the message guys, and Joust is right I do pass by to keep a tab on things from time to time.

Things have moved on since the very early days, when I chased Guy at Nitron to develop the first aftermarket dampers and donated my car for a month to Andy Walsh to help refine the setup. Ball joint issues, intercooler heat soak, failing windscreen wipers and stuck throttle cables came up quickly for me before most knew about them. But with patience they were all resolved.

My co-worker DanH became the second owner, he was then the first to sport Viper stripes. My introduction to Richard Marshal ended up in Vegantune becoming part of the Noble network and I actively encouraged Paul to go racing in his Silver M12 classic and would follow him around at his various race meetings.

But most of all where the people I knew and met, a casual meetings turned into friendships that have stood the test of time, from Martin who one day asked for a lift from Uxbridge, to Justin who's gave me a lift from Rockingham to my front door, after a car component failed due to my clown feet.

I've so many good memories and stories of things that Jools, Chris Murry, Stuart Holmes and Dave Williams and I did, even doing the Salsa with Lee's wife at her 40th Birthday party all seemed so natural. They where magical moments that'll never be repeated.

Following Martin Jenkins I took sabbatical to visit friends and family and see a good chunk of the world at the same time. 5 years later I've now set up home in Argentina, but as Martin notes, that whole "sabbatical" thing is still going strong...
