More Examples of Racism

There is a Pro football hall of fame in Canton Ohio. The former players enshrined there represent many black football greats along with whites and various other races. Now we have the "Black Football Hall of Fame" with only black players. First, why is this not racism? Secondly, if there was a white, Hispanic, etc. Hall of Fame, there would be hell to pay (ironically enough from white apologists more than blcks IMO). Lastly, blacks fought for decades to end segregation only to come full circle and segregate themselves once again by their own hand. The mind boggles.

We never see a "Asian Hall of Fame" or a somesuch, so it looks blacks are singled out for special recognition, presumably out of some miss-placed white guilt. It does seem to be compensatory in concept. tis'curious we dont see Vikings or Romans kissing my ass for their invasions centuries ago, as a random example.. hmm. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=454701...
I would find it patronising myself, like being recognised in the special olympics for being special you can understand as being a noteworthy acheivement for the participants, but to get recognised simply because of your lineage ?

Why is it being compensatory, it could well be being paid for by rich blacks.
I just don't understand why people find stuff like this sinister. I'm sure its sole purpose is to attract black tourists to the area or something similar.

Would society tolerate 'best white blah blah' if it were financed by white people. I didn't think so. Did you think why this might be ? Like i said, it's compensatory were acts of racial promotion to select races are tolerated on a basis of recent history.Baby Huey said:

Not at all, African culture deserves historical recognition obviously, just as equally as any other. I just don't see the point when it comes to musicians / sports / etc people, who are linked to Africa only by ancestory but in every other way live like a westerner but somehow get singled out for special recognition.Edited by scorp on Saturday 10th October 06:49

I'm no expert on American football, but I expect most of the former players who are regarged as greats are white.
