Hi,

I'm struggling to find the location of a rainwater leak or leaks in my VW Golf.

A puddle of water has formed underneath the front passenger seat, where the rear passenger on the left hand sides feet would rest.

Separately, on one occassion post heavy rainfall saw water pouring through the edge of the window frame on the rear left side window close to the top of the seat belt.

Trying to work out where the water is coming in and then where it is collecting, and what I'll need to do to sort out this very wet mess!

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks very much.

Has someone tried to pry the door at any point? Does it fit flush and press the seal in? Could also be blocked drain holes in the door bottom or a damaged membrane behind the door card (or both).

Pop door card off and have a peak at the drain holes - chances are they've never been cleaned anyway.

Sunroof car?

I think you'll find that there's a filter drain of some sort (accessed in the engine bay) that may be clogged with debris (leaves?). It's normally to allow water to drain away but if blocked fills the car.

I had this on my old Passat.
